The men were formerly given eight hours' pay for six hours worked oil Saturdays; the management now require them to work tho full time—eight hours. Tho miners wont to work as usual this morning, but had to return to their homes pending a settlement. It is understood that work will bo resumed as usual on Monday. ' Tho dispute referring to Saturday work only affects tho fans. The compressor plant is working as usual. Mr. Bishop, the manager, is cxpected from Wellington "on Monday. It is hoped there will lie a settlement before next Saturday comes round,
