Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., report having lield a successful clearing sale on account of Mr, W. R. M'Leod, at tho Martinborougli yards, on Juno 5. A largo number of buyers attended the sale, and competition, especially for the sheep, was keen. Tho New Zoaland Loan and Mercantile Agoncy Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report:—At Eongotca on Wednesday, we had a good entry of cattlo and sheep, and have to report a very satisfactory sale at the following prices :-Sheop: Cull ewes, 3b. Cattle: Weancrs (small), 103. 6d. to 155.; weaner heifers, £1 lis ; aged cows, £1 Bs. to £2 25.; forward cows £3 to £3 165.; fat and forward cows, £4 to £4 Its.; fat cows, £5 te. to £5 175.; cows ill calf, £4 to £4 10s.; heifers in ralf £4 10S. to £5 Is.; springing heifers, £5 10s. to £6 17s. 6d.; bulls, £?. Mr. Newton King's weekly stock report is as follows:—On Monday, at ray Ureiini yards, owing to the Tough weather, there was only a small entry, but a good attendance of th,o public. A good number of fat cows were yarded, these selling very readily.
