It is understood that a second Note has been dispatched to Washington, requesting tha good offices of tho Federal Government to prevent a rupture of relations fttween the United States and Japan ofer the anti-Japanese legislation of California. , EQUALITY OF TREATMENT. (Rec. Juno 5, 10.45 p.m.) Washington, Juno 5. The Japanese Minister has presented Japan's protest against the Cnlifornhn anti-alien law. Tho protest contends tint California's action tends to impair tha equality of treatment to which the Japanese are entitled under the principles of International Law.
