A CONCESSION. (By Telegrapli>—Spccial Correspondent.) Auckland, May 25, Tho Railway Department has mndo a largo concession to the Auckland Exhibition by arranging that exhibits shall 1)9 carricd to and from Auckland on the railways fre? of charge. The shipping com.panics have also assisted in this direction, (though not to the same extent) by agree, ing to convey exhibits coastwise free 0110 way. It is 0110 of the features of tlio financial aspect of the coming event that it is tho iirst big exhibition in New Zealand which has not direct Government assistance by way of a grant or backing, Tho freight conccssione, however, consti' tute a considcrablo indirect help. Moreover, tho Government is paying tlio full space rate of 3s. per sqna.ro foot for tho courts, a total sum of IEICGG being thuai put into tho revenue.
