BANKRUPT'S STATEMENT DISPUTED. (By Telegraph.—Preea Association.) Tiniaru, May 16. Tho first ncljourned meeting of creditors iu the bankrupt estate of Walter Show, solicitor and land speculator, was largely attended to-day. Tho bankrupt presented an amended list of his creditors, making his total indebtedness of .£11,117, reducible surplusage from securities to .KI.MI. J ho assets veto put at .£42,000, leaving a surplus of over .£12,000. Theso figures have not yet bcou checked, but tho solicitor for one party declared that they were not worth the napcr Uiey wero written on. Iu one case, 110 j/Oinleu out, £ 15,0110 was put down as profit irom one set of properties handed back to tho estate by recent purchasers who had not expected to make more than .£SOOO out .of them if prices had kept np. Another solicitor said ho knew of largo creditors who had not yet proved and tho debts would bo more like .£50,000. Three supervisors and an accountant were appointed. The meeting agiecd to give Atvs. Shaw her wedding presents am', the furniture. Tho meeting broko up without fixing a date for the adjournment.
