Dr. Monk, the officer of the Health Department who came from Auckland in connection with tho cases of the two Mangakaliia Natives, whose condition was considered such as to justify the suspicion of smallpox, has visited the patients, and has diagnosed their complaint as chicken pox. The patients are now recovering.
