AUSTRALIAN PLAYERS AT HOME. By Telegraph—Press Association-OoDyrizlit London,. May 8. In- the first innings cf Cambridge University against Middlesex, M'Caughley, an Australian freshman, took seven wiekats for -16 runs. Fraser, an Australian, playing in tho Oxford University trial match, took five wickets for 51 rims. t TELEPHONE EXCHANGE CLUB. Tho annual smoko concert of the Telephono Exchangs Cricket Club was held last evening, Mr. J. Burton presiding. There was a. large gathering of members and friends, and an enjoyable evening was spent. During the ovening trophies were presented to 11. Pollock (best howling average for season). D. Parton (best batting average), and R. Parton (best fielding). The chairman took occasion to present to Mr. J. Olsen (who lias been in the service for a number of years, and recently l-etired on. -superannuation) a purso of sovereigns. Musical items were contributed by tho following:—Messrs. Newton, Ilueslou, llouchen, Cooper, Coira, Bush, Meredith, Wheatley, and members of tho Wellington City Band. Tlio following toasts were honoured:— "The King." "Warehousemen's Cricket Association," "Kindred Sports," and "Tho Visitors,"
