TEAM TO GO TO AUSTRALIA. CHIEF CONTROL MEETS. (By Telegraph —Presa Association.) Auckland, May 9. The annnal meeting of the New Zealand Rugby League was held this evening, Mr. D. W. M'Lean priding. The report congratulated affiliated leagues on a prosperous season and 'tlio balance-sheet showed the finances to bo very sound. Tho profit on tlio year's work had been .£2Ol, plus .£lO5 in grants given. Tho election of officers resulted President, Mr. D. W. M'Lean; general secretary, Mr. H. Oakley; hon. treasurer, Mr. W. C. Carlaw; council, Messrs. A. E. Powell (Auckland), A. Campbell (Canterbury), E. Watts (Marlborough), P. Usher (Wanganui), W. T. Wynyard (Hawfce's Bay), A. Rowley (Wellington) i lion, registrar, Mr. A. Powiey; auditors, Messrs. B. Brigham and S. Barry; selectors, Messrs. R. M'Donald (Auckland), W. S. Brice (Wellington), W. Brunsden (Canterbury). The Marlborough League was affiliated. It was decided to send 22 men, and two managers to Australia. Tho team is to bo selected on Saturday -week.
