RESULTS ELSEWHERE.

NORTH ISLAND. NAPIER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) The Mayoral, election resulted in the return of Mr. J. V. Brown, 3129 votes; J. I'. Thompson, 1121 votes. The Harbour Board election for three members, representing Napier Borough, resulted:—Mr. J. V. Brown, 2278 votes; Mr. J. J. Niven, 1924 votes; Mr. F. W. Williams, 1855 votes; Mr. W. J. M'Grath, 1554 votes; Mr. J. D. Ormond, 1817 votes; Mr. 11. J. Holder, 1789 votes; Mr. D. M'Grath, jun., 3SO votes. Messrs. Brown, Ormond, and Holder had advocated the completion of the breakwater harbour, mul Messrs. Niven, Williams, and W. J. M'Grath the construction of au inner harbour to admit vessels of deep draught. The ckctioir excited a good deal of interest owing to the rival "tickets.*'
