PFI'ONE WORKSHOPS TROUBLE. Some time ago a member of tho Pcfconc Workshops 6tafT, who is c-ngaged in the construction of c.its, built a car in threo days less timo than somo of tho other liands, and tho result was that several "please explains" . were sent from headquarters in regard to the matter. The man who built his car in quick timo claimed that his work was just as good ns that of his fellow workmen. , Hatters in this department have been somewhat strained for tho last day or so, and last night 'R very largo meeting of employees was held to discuss tho position. Tlio meeting was not open to the press, nor could any information bo gathered afterwards, but it is rumoured that a deputation will lay tho whole posi 7 tiou before this Departmental headquais ters.
