AIRMAN'S ORDEAL.
CROWD DAMAGE HIS MACHINE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, April 20. A crowd of some twenty thousand pcoplo gathered at tho Domain yesterday to see Wizard Stone's exhibition monopiano flight. Tho flight was not - a groat success. Stouo rose thirty feet in his graceful tuachino, but cAmo to tho ground ill attempting to negotiate the hill at tho back of the Domain.
A section of tho huge crowd of "deadheads" outsido tho nrea then rushed tho machine and greatly damaged the tail, making any further flight impossiblo. The airmau was (jreatly hampered by tho;crowd before..starting.,He intends to mako another flipilt in Auckland at a spot whero the crowd can bo properly controlled.
