OUTRAGE ON A REPORTER.
OFFICERS DID NOT INTERFERE. (By Tclecraph—Press Association.) Dunedin, April 20. At tho Territorial camp at' Sutton, a regrettable incident occurred yesterday, when a newspaper .reporter, whoso reports to his paper had evidently caused indignation amongst the 4th 'Regiment, was ducked in tho stream. "Fatigue" was proceeding at tho time, tho officers were busily engaged, and there was no one present to prevent tho action, while, by tho timo that tho orderly officer reached tho scene, the men responsible had disappeared.
It is alleged that tho district staff officers were near enough to have prevented the occurrence, but took no action.
