Pouisen Company. Mr. J. Norton Griffiths, M.P., denied discussing with Major Avchor-Shco. M.P., anything connected with tho subject of wireless telegraphy. 'Sir Frederick Banbury asked Mr. God'frey Isaacs, president of the Marconi Company, why he gave Mr. Heybouru (the broker who put big blocks of American Marconi.shares on tho English market) and his friends a chance of making half a million. Ho replied that he had not kuown he was giving that chance. Ho could not foresee tho fluctuations in the market. He added that the English ( Marconi Company had brought tho assets of the United Wireless Company for .£150,(100, and resold the American Company, togethVr with other things, for .£280,1)00. [Mii Heybouru stated in evidence how Mr. Godfrey Isaacs took up half a million of American shares when they were issued, on tho English market. Witness, believing that the shares would boom, took 250,000 from Mr. Isaacs at H, and another' two blocks of 50,000 each at 2£ and 2 7-10 on the day before the shares were available to the public]
