Allegre,. who attempted yesterday to assassinate King Alfonso, had been three times rejected for military service on the ground that he suffered from epilectic fits. King Alfonso, in describing the ' attack, says: "I saw a man coming armed with a revolver. He fired, and I rode at him. He tried to seize tho reins and fired again, the flash singeing my glove, while tho ball grazed tho horse. I then wheeled tho horse, and it knocked tho man over with its shoulder as tho policeman sprang ,upon him. A third shot fired s from the ground whistled overhead."
