Carabiniars attacked the offices of the newspaper "Democracia" at Covilha and smashed all the machinery and type. A band of aimed men entered a house in Lisbon, wounding a man, and his wife and their two daughters. Another gang of carabiniers raided a club' and stole .£4OO, causing a riot.
