9-! rWHERE ARE THE BOYS NOW? (By Telegraph.-Special' Correspondent.) Wanganui, April 12. The shortage of boys for trades wns commented upon at a meeting 'of the Technilcal College Committee last evening, some members who wero also employers of labour saying that it is almost "impossible to get them. One member said that, some time ' ago, his firm used to keep a selection book, and when a boy was required,, made their choice from the applicants whoso names were entered' therein.: Now, he, said, it would almost seem as if the position wero reversed. A return just made shows that there aro now 1 '174 students attending day classes nt the Wanganui Technical College, while tho attendance at the compulsory evening continuation classes'is 145. Tho total of individual students in all classes is 504, and of these '330 are men and lads.
