HUTT FIRE BRIGADE.
: $ — The monthly, meeting of the Hu It Fire Brigado was held last night, Captain Slinn occupied tho chair, and thero was' a good attendance. Tho secretary reported that letters of thanks had been forwarded to Captain Horno and Messrs. Longford and Ingram for assistance rendered to tho team that comneted at tlio competition at Wanganui._ A reply was received from the Fire Brigades' Association intimating that they had circulated tho subscription list, as requested, amongst other brigacsss, in favour of Fireman Fleot, who was injured at the Potono sports on Labour Day. It was resolved, on tho motion of Foreman Doron, to support tho motion that tho next conference be held at Oamaru. On tho motion of Assistant-Foreman Collett, it was resolved to commenco tlio winter card tournament on Friday, April 11. Brigade practice will, in consequenco, bo held over for ono week. The brigado competitions will be concluded this week-end on the Hutt Recreation Ground. Master T. Slinn was elected unanimously as messer to the brigado, ami Masters Scager and M'Mahon. wero promoted to the rank, of firemen.
