ATTACKED BY LION CUB.

A lion cub in a zoo at Rome, which had been provided by Hagcnbock, where the animals were not kept in cages, attacked tho four-year-old son of tho Marquess Cellero, inflicting serious injuries. The boy was carcssiiig tho lion, which appeared to bo tame. It was tho same ono that appeared at tho recent ball driven in a chariot by tho Princess Radziwill. Annoyed by the lad's caresses the animal leapt over tho barrier and rushed at the boy, wounding him in the forehead and tearing his overcoat almost off his back. Fortunately a keep armed with a cudcel made a timely .appearance and drove tho lion oft'. The boy was carried unconscious to the hospital,-where seven stitches were' required to closo tho ugly gash on his forehead.
