Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their usual stock salo at Dannevirke oil Friday, whet they offered . a fair yarding of sheep and cattle to a large attendance of the public. Bidding for . sheep was very slack, and not up to last week's prices. Cattle were about the same as at previous sales. They quote as .follows:—Fat ewes, 11a. 5d., 125., to, 12s. 3d.; ! fat cows, £3 19is/ 6d., £4 ICe., to £5; threeyear steers, £5 12a. 6d. to £5 18s. 6d.; weaner, steers, £1 ss. 6d. to £1 155.; yearI. ling dairy heifers, £2 ss. 6d. .

Dalgety and Company, Limited, report on their Martinborough sale .as follows:—An exceptionally heavy entry of all classes of shcop came forward, temporary yards having to be made to accommodate same. The demand was fairly good for all lines of good sound breeding ewes, •but medium and inferior sorts were rather hard to sell. Lambs were also dull of sale, but vendors throughout were prepared to accept prices offered, and at the •end of the sale very little was turned out unsold. The following is a- list of prices realised: —Best lines of breeding ewes, six-tooth, 135., to 13s. Id.; sixtooth to f.f.m., 10s. 4d. to Us. lid.; Lincoln, skinned two-tooth ewea, 14s. to 14s. 6<l. (a line of 800 being quilted at these prices); Romney cross two-tooth ewes, 13sr; fat ewes, 13s. 3d. to 14s. Bd.; medium f.m. ewes, 6s. 6d. to 95.; cull ewes, 2s. to ss. 6d.: medium wothcre, to Us. on Saturday, as follows:—The Associated Auctioneers' submitted; n record sheep yarding for Eketahuna, the, yards bcinc taxed to their utmost capacity, the whole of the alleys liurcllcd oil' containing slioeo. In addition to this. a. number had to bo accommodated in thy cattle yards. There was an exceptionally large attendance of the public, and a most satisfactory sale resulted, business at auction beine animated throughout. Rood prices resulting except for low-conditioned sheep, which were difficult to unit. Our entry comprised just under live thousand sheep, the bulk of which changed hands, only two or three pens being turned out unsold.. The quality on the whole was good, some nice lines from the Waihoke Valley being submitted. Messrs.
