Matters, in connection with the forthcoming- Easter Carnival are well iii hand, the eleven sub-committees who arc arranging the multifarious details are working with a tenacity of purpose, and tho result'bids fair to exosod'the' ln'ost sanguine expectations of the- promoters. In connection with tho carnival, an art union, with prizes aggregating; ,£IOO, is being held, bj\ permission of the Minister for Internal Affairs, and up to tho present upwards of 20,000 tickets are in circulation. Full details concerning tho carnival, which is to bo. held 011 Easter Saturday and Monday, will bo notified at, an early date.
