AVardell Bros.; grocers, was driving ono ol the firm's carts from The 'Terrace into Upper Dixon Street, when one of tho wheels struck tho kcrbing nud the cart capsized, Calcinai was thrown heavily on the road, and was probably struck by the cart. Some pasper's-by' rendered assistance until Dr. Gilmer arrived. After attending to the iniured man. the doctor ordered his removal to ho Hospital, where he now lies in a serious condition. Collins, of Ata C'rcek, was killed on tho railway yesterday near Brvdono while trying to board a moving train. SHOCK OP HIS EMPLOYER'S DEATH. Auckland, March 7. AVilliatn Curtain, aged fifty-four, years, was greatly affected by tho sudden death of his employer, W. Marsdcn, a little over a week ago. After seeing the dead body ho went home and became unconscious. He was removed to tile hospital, and died yesterday from nervous breakdown. LYSOL POISONING. (By Telegraph.—Prerc Association.) Auckland, March 5. The death took place at the public hospital last night of Mrs. Lynch, who was admitted on February 27,. suffering from the effects of lysol poisoning. HEART FAILURE. Christchurch, March 5. At the adjourned inquest on William David Robinson, who died at the hospital under ether on Monday night, the medical evidence, based on the'post-mortem examination, was to the effect that death was attributable to heart failure, induced by toxaemia, resulting from intestinal obstruction and not due to the anaesthetic. A verdict was returned accordingly. FATAL TRAP ACCIDENT. Duncdin, March G. Andrew Melville, an old and rcsneeted farmer at Riverside.'was'killed at BalcMlia this afternoon. He and Sirs.
