A meeting of the. Jolinsonvillo Town Board was held last night There wore present: Commissioners F.. T. Moore (chairman), J. A. May, W. L. Thompson, H. Lawrence; 0. Jerusalem, 'H. Parker, and W. AngclL ' '' • >' The board appointed! Mr. Townhul ranger for the. district " , The Town Clerk was directed to make necessary • arrangements. for the coming. Harbour Board election. A letter from' the local Rugby Football Club, making application for tlioKccreation Ground for the.ensuing season, was held over until next meeting. Two complaints in regard to tho collection of sanitary rates wero received from ratepayers-, who stated that though they had to pay tho rate they did not benefit by tho service. 'Tho clerk; was instructed to reply that as the charge-was a rate, the board had no. power to make exemptions, but that tho 'rato woiild cease on February, |28. Tho board decided to fence ill the watersupply catchment area, and, in conjunction with adjoining owners, to call tenders for tho work. ■
