PBAISED BY THE MINISTER FOB > 'MARINE. ■ : "The work dond by the boys of the training skip Amokura at Ship Covo, in preparation for tho unveiling of the Cook Memorial." the Hon. TV;MI B. Pisher remarked yesterday, "reflected tho greatest credit on the enthusiasm of. the boys and the efficiency of tho ship's staff."
"The Amokura outtor, pulling ten oars, was detailed to row his' Excellency: tha Governor to and: from tho Tutanckai, while, another section Of the boys formed a guard of honour for his Excellency ■at the unfurling of tho flag.' Subsequently tho Earl and Countess of Liverpool paid a visit to the.Amokura, accompanied by the Minister for Marine, and inspected tho ship and her equipment. • "His Excellency reminded Oaptain Hooper that ho was - a Visitor .to tho Amokura (when sho was one .of her Majesty's ships) at the time of tho review of tho Fleet at Spithead on the occasion of tho late Queen Victoria's Jubilee. • ■'.'• "After the ceremony at Ship Covo. tho Amokura boys were entertained at Blenheim by tho Borough Council, and enjoyed the liberty; day bo tho full."
