HOSPITAL SATURDAY.
PLANS FOR THE COLLECTION,
Hospital Saturday and Sunday (February 15 and 16) are likely to attract mors than ordinary notice this year. The ladles committee, which is furthering the movemont, held a very successful meeting in tho Hospital and Charitable Aid Hoard 3 office on Wednesday afternoon, tvlien the final allocation of stations was made. Instead of the usual exemption badge, it has been decidcd that donors of Is. and upwards will have issued to them a souvenir postcard. This nostcard is described as a beautiful work of art, taken from a drawing by Mr. Archibald G. Anderson. It depicts a ■ nurse, in characteristic attitude, standing over a hospital collcction-box: In the background is a heart-locket, which is held open, by two Cupids, and from which a stream of money is pouring into the box. Underneath is tho inscription: "There is an open heart to-day for the Hospital." Tho brass bands of Wellington hare offered their services in connection with tho collection. Tho Mission Band takes a "hand on Saturday night by playing in different parts of tho city. Tho Salvation Army Band ploys at the Hospital Grounds on Sunday afternoon. The Wellington City Band, Jupp's Brass Band, and the Tramways Band will play • a combined programme; on Sunday afternoon at Newtown Park, whero the nurses of the Hospital will bo the collectors. The Miramar Band will play at Miramar on Sunday, and tho Waterside Workers' Band at Day's Bay.
