As tho result of an alert watch yesterday, Sergeant M'Crorio and- Constable Bencher arrested three small boys last evening at Freeman's fruit shop in Manners Street, tho youngsters being found in possession of money and a quantity of fruit. A' charge of theft wiir Ixv preferred against them in the Juvenile Court, Two of tho boys aro brothers, aged 8 and 9 years respectively, and tho tlijrd is aged only 8 years. Tho children—they aro nothing more—were handed over to their parents in tho meantime. Tho list of premises alleged to havo been entered is as follows:—Freeman's fruit shop, Manners Street; Warwick and Condor, plumbers, Coiirteuay Place; Walsh and Oliver, barbers, Willis Street j Edwin Arnold, basket-maker, Willis Street; and tho Westport Coal Co/a premises in Dixon Street.
