A supply of radium for use in the treatment of skin diseases and malignant growths is required for the Melbourne Recently representatives of the medical staff had an interview with the State Premier, and asked that authority should bo given, for the purchase of'radium on behalf of the State.. Mr' Watt replied that he would authorise: the medical staff to undertake the purchase of .£IOOO worth if it could be bought in Aus..tralia, in suitable form, and at a proper iprice. ,It would, if .'possible, bo obtained in the Commonwealth, but if not it'would be necessary to secure it from a European centre./ ~ . , ~
