ODDFELLOWSHIP.

A specially-summoned meeting of Loyal Heart of Oak Lodge, 1.0.0.i 1 ., M.U., No. 6238, was held in the Foresters' Hall, Carterton, on Wednesday evening. N.G., Bro. W. Churchill presided over 'a fair attendance of members. The balancesheet and auditor's report were submitted, and were adopted! The retiring auditors (Bros. "W. Heap and W. F. Bairstow) were reappointed' for the ensuing twelve months. P.G. Bro. C. J. de Lacey and P.S. Bro. L. H.' Smart were appointed to represent the lodge at-the district meeting to be held in Levin on February 18. They were given a free hand, with a recommendation to vote for consolidation of the sick funds. One candfdato was proposed for initiation. During the 'evening two- presentations . were made. Bro. Hi A. Bick was presented by P.G. Bro. do Lacey with a past officer's emblem, in recognition of services rendered while passing through the chairs. On behalf, of. the lodge, P.G. Bro. Fenshaw presented P. G. Bro. B. Butler with a P.G. collar, for. services rendered, and in doing* so referred to Bro. Butler's- long membership of the Order, ho having been one of' the founders of' the Carterton Lodge,.pnd its first N.G., in 1878.';, Sincethen he had gone through the chairs on threo different occasions, in 1888,1896, and 1909.
