I am. going '. {Hoinel. with '. a broader outlook, and.shall endeavour to help my friends to realise: the conditions of life out here. In.my travels through New Zealand I have seen no evidences of poverty, but every indication of general prosperity; and I am satisfied you get more out of life than wo do, at Home. So far as the special object of-my visit is concerned, I am satisfied with the assurances I havo got, and feel-convinced that the opening up of direct trade with Hull will soon bo an,accomplished .fact. Wlwn I have, the privilege of coming out here again I hope to be able to sail direct from Hull."
