FARM LABOUR.
SOME DOMINION REQUIREMENTS.
Replies have already commenced to reach the New Zealand Farmers' Union regarding the circular dispatched to branches last week, asking on behalf of tho Immigration Department for some particulars as to tho number of men likely to be required in various parts of New Zealand during tho next few months. Some idea of the position may be gleaned from two of the replies. ,Tho South Canterbury Union states that it is prepared to find openings for 700 farm labourers and 300 domestic servants, and tho Southland Union estimates its.labour requirements at 500 to 1000 men.
