N.Z. PRODUCERS' ASSOCIATION.
MR. LYSNAR'S REPORT,
A meeting of tho Executive of the New Zealand Producers' Association, presided over by Mr. J. G. Wilson, was held yesterday in order to meet Mr. W. D. Lysnar, a member of the Executive; who has just returned from an extended visit to England", and to hear what ho had to say in regard to tho -prospects of improvements at tho Port of London. Mr. Lysnar informed tho meeting that alter repeated interviews with tho Port Authority ho was convinced that thero was very
little- hopo of tho promises made for the benefit of the New Zealand trade being carried out. Ho believed that the producers would have to adopt other methods to overcome the difficulties. Mr. Lysnar laid beforo the meeting a scheme to divert trade to the West of England ports. The details .of the scheme were approved by the meeting, subject to the endorsement of those members of the Executive who were unable to be present. Until the scheme ha 9 been fully considered by the members of tho association, particulars will not be available for' publication. When the echemo i 9 finally approved, Mr. Lysnar will be commissioned to place the matter before the producers of the Dominion.
