Keddell, the Australasian and New Zealand hurdle champion, put up two remarkably fine runs in the 120 yards hurdle handicap. He won his heat in 15 seconds dead, equalling world's record figures, and in tho final eclipsed this, He ran second to a handicap competitor, being beaten by three and a half yards in 14 l-ssoc. The champion was assisted by a following breeze, \ so no claim for official recognition of the . figures will be mode. That Keddell is getting into great form for tho New Zealand Championships at Wellington next month is evidenced by the fact that he I also won a heat in the 100 yards handi- . cap in 10 l-ssee. from scratch, and cover-. [ cd 21ft. 4in. in the board jump. Other performances of merit ixcre a ; throw of 130 ft. lin. by Kemi, the pro- [ *ent New Zealand hammer champion, and a pole-vault by Giller (New Zealand chaini pion) of 10ft. lin. J.
