■/-.- A SEVERE STORM. By Teleera-ph—Press Association—OonyrisM Sydney, December 24. ' There has been a remarkable hailstorm in the Inverell district. Trees for miles were stripped, the leaves forming a perfect carpet beneath. • Numerous windows were smashed by hailstones the size of tennis balls, and weighing, over a quarter of a pound. Galvanised iron roofs were dented and in' some cases pierced. Several horses were knocked down, and, a quantity of live stock killed.
