FEILDING NEWS.

At Mrs. Densham's shed at Rewa last week ■ a gang of three local men—Fred. Ackerman, Otto -Wapp, and Bert Signalaveraged 217 sheep each tor an ordinary working flay of nine hours. Ackerman headed the tally with 330, Wapp shore 215, and Signal passed the machine over 207 sheep. On the previous day the gong averaged 200. The sheep were big ones, too. This is something of a record. Mrs. Maclean, wife of Mr. A. 11. MacLean, bookseller, of Feildiug, passed away on Saturday night at Palmerston, at the age of 35 years.
