In connection with the Wonga Shoal Lighthouse disaster in November last, the Marine Court has suspended Captain Jones's certificate for one year, and granted him a chief officer's certificate for that period.

The sailer Dimsdale, from BaMa, collided with the lighthouse on the Wonga Shoal on November 18. The structure fell with a crash, and disappeared in the water. The two lighthonseJceepers perished. The vessel was undamaged. The loss was estimated at .£20,000.
