OFFICIAL VISITS. Several official visits were paid to the German cruiser Cormoran, at anchor ia Wellington Harbotfr, yesterday. Early in tlia morning General Godley, accompanied by his staff officer, Captain Estcourt, and Colonel B. S. Heard, Director of Staff Duties and Military Training .returned .tho visit of Captain Ebcrt. On leaving tho cruieer the party were accorded a salute of 13 guns. Later in tho morning tho Prime Minister (the Hon. W. F. Massey) paid an official visit, and also members of tho Harbour Board and City Council. During tho day the commander of the Cormoran camo ashore and called upon the Mayor and councillors and members of tho Harbour Board. Other official visits were paid later in the day. To-morrow aftornoon tho Cormoran will bo thrown open for public , inspection. Boats will leave the ferry wharf at regular intervals.
