DECREASE IN OATS AND WHEAT. (By Teloßraph—Press Association.) Christehurch, December 13. Preliminary statistics of crops sown in the Dominion this year 6how a decreaso of- 33,719 acres in wheat, of 16,888 acres in oats, and about 5000 acres in potatoes, and an increase of about 6000 acres in barloy. . Thesa figures can, .however, bo only taken as approximate, but there is uo doubt that a decrease in both oats and wheat has taken place.
