In the Legislative Assembly Mr. Cann, Colonial Treasurer, stated that the HarJpur, Trust was, ( givin£ to the rela-: •WW of'eaoh 'of''tie''crew "of 'the dredge Manchester, and an additional ,£lO •to every ohild under fourteen. Some of the relatives were in England, Germany, Francß, and Switzerland, but the Trust was exerting its best efforts to trace ' them. The Manchester was lost between Wellington and Sydney in April last. The vessel had been purchased by the Sydney Harbour Trust from the Lyttelton'Harbour Board.
