The first of the season's red currants arrived during the week, ar.d realised satisfactory prices; black currants and raspberries are expected on . the .market at an early date. Strawberries continue to come forward from'the Auckland and Motueka districts. Californian apples are due to arrive here, per Aorangi, on December 8. and Cook Islands oranges, bananas, and pineapples will come by the same steamer. . Vegetables.—French heans are coming in and are realising extreme rates. Uot-house-grown tomatoes from the Nelson and Ifutt districts are plentiful, and the market is somewhat weaker. Gresn peas arc in short supply, and owing to the wet weather new potatoes are in light sunply, and prices have advanced , considerably. Californian Rurbank potatoes are duo, per Aorangi, on December 8. Parsnips a.nd carrots are in light- supply, and consignment*; are recommended. A good demand exists for heavy cabbages and also for cauliflowers. Old Potatoes.— I The season for New Zeo-land-grown ia almost finished, and prices have advancod, 60iuid lots being, worth £13 to £13 per ton. Onions.—New season's Australian onions are now coming forward weekly. Californian are about finished, the market is only lightly supplied.
