Feilding, November 24. Challenging rinks came up from Palmerston on Saturday to compete for the Dixon Cup and the Yates Feathers, both of which trophies had wintered in Feilding. Other bowlers also camo up, so that the whole green of the local bowling club was occupied. The holders of the Dixon Cup—P. Thomson, Mason, Stewart, and Saywell (skip)—retained it, defeating the challengers—Hanson, Scott, Smith, and J. A. Nash (skip)—by 21 to 18. Feilding, however, lost the Tates Feathers, the Terrace End challengers—Harris, Martin, Turner, Sollilt (skip)—beating tho holders—Bnrne, Garrett, Barry, and Lockhead (skip)—by 2G to 17.
