SPORT WITH THE RIFLE. AT TRENTHAM AND ELSEWHERE. Except for a poor light at tho 500 yards range, rilllemen who went out to Trentliam on Saturday experienced much better shooting weather than they havo been accustomed to of late. As a result, some excellent scores wero registered, the performances of Riflemen 11. V. Croxton and P. W, Citing standing out as particularly creditable. Tho bad light experienced at tho 500 yards rango furnished a satisfactory test for tlio new standard figure targats now being used, and riflemen generally appeared to he satisfied with the results. Coltjnan, at ranges 600 and 700 yards, the IS-inch bull being used at both ranges. Tho weather on Wednesday was good, tlifc Saturday men getting worse—the usual week-end weather.
