',-'.■" ■With a view to framing a by-law controlling the speed "pf motor-cars, the Petone Borough councillors last evening witnessed ' a trial test along Jackson Street and the. Hutt Road. The car (owned and driven by Councillor Lodder) procepded at 15 mile an hour; there was no dust. Along the Hutt Road the speed was increased to 20 miles, arid here again there waa no dust.
