INTERESTING FUNCTION TO-NIGHT. (By Telegraph.-Prosa Assooiatic-n.) Auckland, November 18. The Prime Minister transacted publio business to-day, receiving deputations in the afternoon. This evening he was the guest of the Auckland Club at a private dinner. To-morrow evening ha will bo tlio recipient of an illuminated address from his Auckland supporters. The function, which takes placo in the Town Hall, promises to bo a very big one, and a representative attendance is expected. Resides many members of Parliament, the Hons. J. Allen, Dr. Poroare, W. H. Herries, and R. H. Rhodes will bo present.
