A SHAKESPEAREAN FESTIVAL. (By TelCEraßh..—Special Correspondent.) .Hastings, November U. ': Residents of Havelocls are arranging fer Wednesday next a unique function, which is designated "a Shakespeareai pageant." .Haveloek folk take themselves very, seri- . ousiy in matters, connected with art,-and various forms of culture, and this fact 'is probably responsible for the present venture. Many ,of the great dramatist'splays will bo represented by tableau? and in other ways, whilst the villagers will • for the time being stalk about in assumed characters taken from Shakespeare's plays. Haveloek is so oharmingly situated that it is difficult to conceive of a locality where such a pageant could be more fittingly staged. It is expected that from 200 to 250 people will take part in the representation.
