VICTORIOUS CADETS.
MEMBERS OF THE TEAM PRAISED.The last report made by Captain J. G. Fiillartfln, officer Commanding the New Zealand- Cadet contingent to Canada, has reached the Minister for Defence. It describes the splendid entertainment, given by the people of Canada to the visiting cadet teaMs during their .return-joUrney from Toronto to Vancouver, and contains an' interesting'passage regarding the 'con T duct of the New Zealand Cadets, written by Captain Fullarton on arrival at Auckland, ; ( ■ "I cannot speak too highly of the behaviour of the cadets during the trip," he says. ■ "I had very Rarely any reason to speak to fh'enj on that matter, and. then only , for some slight breach. Cadet- . Captain Commons and, Cadet-liieutenant Ellis have worked splendidly, and have kept the others up to the mark all through. I should like to see sonio special recognition by the Defence Depart, ment of the work of these two boys. Commons tooki charge tif the drill all through the colripstiti.ons,. and Ellis of the" physical exercises; and to' them' is due in a great measure the success of the team."
