TRADE WITH THE COLONIES. The demand from the colonies for horses of tho right quality is reflected in tho British Board of Agriculture's statistics regarding horses sent to British possessions during last year. Australia took 233, of which total 118 were stallions, and she paid .£162 per head for , tho . aggregate total.- Canada took 1978 nil told, 430 being stallions, ,1152 mares, and 398 geldings;the. lot were assessed at .£120,705, and wore of the average value of £61.
