The lady attendant was making up accounts in the, dressing-room, having besklo her at "the table an open cashbox. Tlio fiorcen. and tho door hid the table from observation from tho corridor. The young lady had occasion (o go to ono of tlio other rooms of the office suite, and round a corner in the corridor slio met a niau waiting. In answer to tho usual question as to whether ho wanted lo seo anyone, ho replied, "I'm just waitnig for my friend, who is with tho dentist." Tho young lady went on, and a moment or two later ehe returned to the dressing-roam, whe'i tiho met another man just coming out of the door of the room. She questioned his right to bo there, and ho replied that ho wanted to sco tho dentist. Sho asked him to wait in the waiting-room, and lie complied, but slii observed him immediately after join tho other man in the corridor and go olf with, him. At that time sho missed the cashbox from the dresiiing-room table, Tho men were-not caiiglit.
