Sydney, October 17. R. Arnst, the ex-sculling champion, has returned to Sydney, In an interview, ho said Ms condition at tho'lime of his race with Barry was all right. Barry was good nnywliere, and was tho better man on tho Thames.
If tho cable riicssage said that Barry would give him another raco in New Zealand waters, lie thought it must have got a twist. He did not think that Barry, who was not very wealthy, was likely to come out. . He would be willing to row Barry whenever lie liked, but ho would not go to England to raco again. Regarding the future, Arnst said' he was considering tho offer of a friend to go in partnership on tho land in Queensland. Failing that, he might take up an irrigation block in New South Wales.
