HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the Wellington Hospital House and Pinnace Committee was held yesterday morning, The following were present:—Messrs. J. Godber (in the chair), If. Daldwin.G. Nash. J. Trevor, L. M'Kenzic, and the licv. 11. Van Staveren.
The tender of Mr. F. S. Witton'was accepted for the supply of milk and cream to tho Wellington Hospital- and Oliiro Homo for two years, ending October 31, 1014.
Tho committee advised that tho board agree to combine with the St. John Ambulance Association in tho matter of tho annual street collections, provided that tho association is agreeable to accept a quarter of tho collection. Also, that the resignation of Miss. Drnmmond, snbniatroh of tho Victoria Home, bo accepted with regrot. ; The following is the return of iu patients as compared with last year, tho figures for 1012 being given first in each case:— Cases on September 30, 310, 252'; admitted, 177, 127; discharged, ISO, 131; still iu, 307, 248.
The actual number of patients in the Hospital on Ocober 14 was as follows*, tho males being mentioned first in each case:—Victoria Ward, 20 and 20; Seddoit Ward, 14 and C; Infectious Diseases Ward, 11 am! 12; Children's Ward, 31 and 25; General Ward, 87 and 78. Total, 16G and 141.
Mr. L. M'lCenzie was welcomed as n member of the boar! by the chairman of tho committee, Mr. Godber, and by Mr. Trevor, chairman of the board.
