The Bill >ivould enable a Minister for Minos to control the coal distribution. v The Conference unanimously approved the principle of tho Bill. A FIVE-DAY WEEK. London, October 3. The Miners' Congress, by 305,000 votes to 283,000, decided on 'a five-days' week. Mr. Brace, Mr. Harvey, and others strongly dissented. They stated that many, particularly surfacemen, opposed tho adoption of the idea, which would go a long'way to break up the Federation.
