—j_ PRESBYTERIAN RESOLUTION. By Teleerapu—Press Association—CoDjrieht Melbourne, October 4. At the Presbyterian General Assembly .a motion disapproving of compulsory military training was rejected. A resolution was adopted setting out that, without committing itself to tho principle of compulsory drills, tho Assembly Tecognises the grave responsibilities of .the country for adequate defence, and urges the supromo importance of safeguarding the moral welfare of those undergoing training, especially tho youths. The resolution strongly recommends tho substitution of early morning for night drills whero possible, and full provision for tho proper oversigbt of the moral welfare of the cadets.
